We envision a world where the future of food is women and girls advancing nutrition dietetics and agriculture. Together we create a world where we lead a just food system and heal ourselves and families on our own terms that honor our ancestors' journey.

WANDA is on a mission to build a movement of women and girls of African descent leading as food sheroes in our communities through education, advocacy and innovation.

Women Advancing Nutrition, Dietetics and Agriculture (WANDA) was born out of love to heal our community by inspiring, engaging, and informing women and girls to honor our ancestors: 1) by embracing our foodways to heal ourselves and our communities; 2) becoming a healthy food leader and/or entrepreneur and 3) advocating for healthy food policies for our communities.
By 2030, the WANDA movement seeks to ensure a million women and girls have access to food systems education, advocacy, and innovative skills to improve their lives and transform their communities from farm to health. Together, we are creating a new crop of food sheroes in Africa and the Diaspora to counter the rise of non-communicable diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease while working to end food apartheid caused by structural inequities in nutritionally divested communities.
